The prospect of living in Zimbabwe is somewhat of a risk at the current time, so you could imagine that there would be very little desire for going to Zimbabwe's casinos. In fact, it seems to be operating the opposite way around, with the awful market circumstances creating a greater desire to gamble, to try and discover a fast win, a way out of the problems.

For many of the people surviving on the abysmal nearby money, there are two popular types of gaming, the state lotto and Zimbet. As with practically everywhere else in the world, there is a state lottery where the odds of hitting are remarkably tiny, but then the jackpots are also surprisingly big. It's been said by market analysts who look at the idea that the majority do not purchase a ticket with the rational belief of hitting. Zimbet is founded on one of the domestic or the British football divisions and involves determining the results of future games.

Zimbabwe's gambling halls, on the other hand, look after the astonishingly rich of the nation and vacationers. Up until not long ago, there was a very substantial sightseeing business, centered on nature trips and visits to Victoria Falls. The market anxiety and associated violence have carved into this market.

Amongst Zimbabwe's gambling halls, there are 2 in the capital, Harare, the Carribea Bay Resort and Casino, which has five gaming tables and slot machines, and the Plumtree gambling den, which has just the slots. The Zambesi Valley Hotel and Entertainment Center in Kariba also has just slots. Mutare contains the Monclair Hotel and Casino and the Leopard Rock Hotel and Casino, the two of which offer table games, one armed bandits and video poker machines, and Victoria Falls has the Elephant Hills Hotel and Casino and the Makasa Sun Hotel and Casino, each of which has gaming machines and blackjack, roulette, and craps tables.

In addition to Zimbabwe's gambling dens and the aforementioned mentioned lottery and Zimbet (which is quite like a parimutuel betting system), there are also 2 horse racing complexes in the state: the Matabeleland Turf Club in Bulawayo (the second city) and the Borrowdale Park in Harare.

Given that the economy has shrunk by beyond 40 percent in the past few years and with the associated poverty and crime that has cropped up, it isn't well-known how well the sightseeing industry which funds Zimbabwe's gambling halls will do in the in the years to come. How many of them will carry on till conditions get better is simply not known.
